The Buckhead Rotary Club helps kids bridge the education gap during the summer.
To celebrate National Summer Learning Day, a few Yellow Jackets took the time to read to local students from Georgia Tech’s Horizons Atlanta program on Thursday.
"The Buckhead Rotary Club, Atlanta International School and Garden Hills Elementary School kicked off their six-week Horizons Summer Camp learning program for low-income students with an Olympic Day on June 16. John McCusker, a member of the 2011 USATF World Team USA who competed in the World Master’s Athletic Championship Marathon, presented the 2004 Olympic torch."
Georgia Tech hosted children from Horizons Atlanta for a special holiday party. The non-profit identifies and partners with under-served children, to help them keep pace all the way through school.
